Frequently Asked Questions

What size are your posters?

We specialise in Japanese Chirashi posters, which are B5 size — approximately 7" × 10" (176 mm × 250 mm). If a poster differs in size, we’ll note it clearly in the product title & description.

Are your posters authentic or reprints?

Every poster we sell is an authentic Japanese cinema print, originally produced by the film industry in Japan for in-theatre promotion.

We do not sell reprints — all items are guaranteed original and were only available during the film’s theatrical release. Collectors can buy with full confidence.

How can I tell an original from a reprint?

Original Chirashi posters are printed to a high standard — rich colour, sharp detail, and clean typography. Reprints are often blurry or pixelated due to being scanned or photographed, then digitally printed.

Here’s how to spot the difference:

  • Paper size: Originals are almost always in Japanese B-series sizes (like B5), not A4.
  • Print clarity: Small text should be razor-sharp, not fuzzy.
  • Back print: Many Chirashi are double-sided, often with a cinema stamp or show info on the reverse.

At Winnfield Co., we only sell authentic originals — guaranteed.

How do you grade poster condition?

Almost all of our posters are in Excellent or Near Mint condition unless noted otherwise. If a poster has any visible flaws, they’ll be clearly detailed in the product description.

Please note:

  • Posters over 20 years old may show minor signs of age or handling, which is typical for vintage collectibles.
  • Even pristine-looking posters are graded as Near Mint — not Mint — since they were used in theatres, not sold as new.
  • We don’t sell anything graded lower than Very Good — everything we offer is suitable for display or serious collecting. Any major defects will be highlighted in the product description.
